It began with one. Now, we’re expanding!
In 2006, we heard of a situation we couldn’t ignore and started a new journey in our ministry. A young child lost their parents and had no place to go.
Situations like this attract predators of human trafficking rings to prey on these lonely children.
They are offered an education and a job, as long as they go with them and leave everything behind. Many times, these kids aren’t given a choice; they must go or starve to death. But when they arrive to the cities and prostitution rings, there’s no proper job or the possibility for an education. And by then, it’s too late.
At Empower International, we are dedicated to help prevent human trafficking by providing children with a home and an education for those that wouldn’t have one.
Now, our Mae Toh Orphanage is taking care of 16 children between the ages of 5 and 15.
Over the years, we’ve had 29 children graduate from this orphanage and they’re all joyfully pursuing God’s plan for their lives!
Because of people like YOU, this expansion was made possible! But we aren’t done here!
